Your new challenge

As a Senior Piping Material Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and preparing piping material classes, performing calculations in compliance with applicable codes and standards, and reviewing client specifications. In this role, you will also manage material take off, prepare requisition packages, and provide support to procurement, technical bid evaluations, and technical meetings with suppliers. Additionally, you will coordinate and provide input to other disciplines and external parties related to piping materials scope for projects in study, FEED, and EPC phases.

Job requirements


Your new challenge will include:

  • Maintaining and preparing piping material classes and performing wall thickness and vacuum calculations in compliance with applicable codes and standards
  • Preparing technical purchase specifications and data sheets for special piping items
  • Reviewing client specifications and engineering data from other technical disciplines
  • Managing material take off and preparation of requisition packages
  • Providing support to procurement, technical bid evaluations, technical meetings with suppliers, vendor documentation review, interfacing with expediting, inspection, logistics material management
  • Coordinating and providing input to other disciplines and external parties related to piping materials scope for projects in study, FEED, and EPC phases
  • Providing support and input to proposals and estimating projects and the development of special package subcontracts
  • Taking initiative in timely gathering essential input from other disciplines and external parties
  • Maintaining the schedule, quality, and cost objectives of the project
  • Providing technical support to the project group
  • Maintaining, supporting, and providing input to the setup of company standard practices and work instructions
  • Coordinating and supporting the training and development of junior designers and trainees from the parent company

What we would like from you

You should have a minimum of 15 years of relevant working experience in the oil and gas/petrochemical industry as a Piping Material Engineer. You should also have a minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering specialization and minimum Bachelors' degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering specialization.


Technical Abilities:

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, strong English writing skills for documentation and reports, proficient in English speaking for effective communication with teams and stakeholders
  • Experience in industrial plants, such as chemical, petrochemical, refinery, oil & gas
  • Experience in the application of American, Russian, and European codes and standards applicable to piping engineering as a piping material engineer
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software and engineering software commonly used in the industry, preferably Aveva ERM
  • Good understanding of the operation and maintenance requirements for equipment and piping items
  • Ability to provide new ideas to improve the execution of the work
