Your new challenge


As a Packages Mechanical Engineer, you specialize in defining project scopes, estimating resources, and crafting technical proposals. You lead feasibility studies, equipment selection, and project management, ensuring adherence to international standards and regulations. With expertise in packaged equipment and materials, you foster collaboration across teams to drive project success. You excel in document preparation, vendor evaluation, and proactive issue resolution, maintaining clear communication throughout.

Your new challenge will include:

  • Ability to define the scope of supply/work for the mechanical discipline, estimate man-hours and number of deliverables, and prepare technical proposals based on client tender documents.
  • Participate in feasibility studies, reviewing licensor documents, seeking clarifications, selecting equipment types, defining scope of supply/work, providing input to supply chain for price estimation, and addressing mechanical design concerns in the feasibility study report.
  • Manage projects as the Lead Engineer, ensuring proper and timely project execution while meeting all project requirements.
  • Possess enough knowledge of various Packaged equipment such as Instrument Air Package, Chemical Injection Package, Cooling Tower, Flares, Fired Heaters, Large Compressor Package, Nitrogen Generation Package, and materials for different services.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in international standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, NACE, etc., ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and codes.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills to collaborate effectively in a multi-discipline environment, guiding the mechanical engineering team and fostering a cohesive work atmosphere.
  • Utilize extensive experience to prepare mechanical documents, including specifications, data sheets, strength calculations, material requisitions, and technical bid evaluations.
  • Review Vendor technical offers and conduct technical clarifications, ensuring Vendor compliance with project requirements.
  • Thoroughly review Vendor documents after contract award, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
  • Actively participate in meetings, including project status meetings, clarifications with Licensors, Vendors, and Clients.
  • Undertake developmental activities, including the preparation of work instructions, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Demonstrate organizational and prioritization skills to efficiently manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Communicate and present effectively, fostering clear communication within the project team.
  • Possess a proactive attitude, anticipating and resolving potential issues to keep the project on track.

Job requirements

What we would like from you


A minimum of 15 years of experience within the Oil & Gas, EPC industry as a Mechanical Packages Engineer. Furthermore, a university degree in Mechanical Engineering is a fundamental prerequisite for this position, ensuring a strong foundation of academic knowledge in the field.


Requirements:

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, strong English writing skills for documentation and reports, proficient in English speaking for effective communication with teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to mechanical design and analysis.
  • In-depth understanding of industry-specific equipment and materials selection, and familiarity with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical data and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation techniques in mechanical engineering projects.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to mechanical engineering.
  • Problem-solving skills to address complex mechanical engineering challenges.
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy and quality in deliverables.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with advancements in mechanical engineering.
  • EU work permit mandatory.
