Your new challenge
As an Sr. Mechanical Static Equipment Engineer at CC7 Europe BV, you will be responsible for providing deep technical expertise in the selection, design, and engineering of static mechanical equipment for projects across all phases: from concept and FEED to EPC execution. You will be embedded within multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring high-quality engineering outputs that meet client expectations, project requirements, and international standards.
Your scope will include pressure vessels, tanks (atmospheric, cryogenic, spherical), heat exchangers, columns, and associated equipment, supporting their integration into broader process systems.
You will collaborate with internal disciplines, external stakeholders, and vendors, contributing to project success through strong coordination, quality-driven design, and proactive risk mitigation.
This senior position offers the opportunity to influence technical direction, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the development of company-wide engineering practices and tools.
Your new challenge will include:
Leading the design, selection, and specification of static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and columns across a variety of project types.
Preparing and maintaining key engineering deliverables such as Mechanical Data Sheets, Equipment Lists, Material Requisitions, and Technical Specifications.
Conducting technical bid evaluations and reviewing vendor documents and drawings for compliance and accuracy.
Providing technical guidance on the use of mechanical software such as PVElite and Ansys, as well as on welding procedures (WPS, PQR) and material selection.
Coordinating closely with process, piping, instrumentation, civil, and procurement teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
Supporting cost estimation and proposal development activities with relevant engineering input.
Participating in technical reviews, client meetings, and vendor discussions during all project phases.
Driving consistent documentation workflows and ensuring alignment with internal and external quality and document control procedures.
Supporting the development of internal standards, design templates, and best practices related to static equipment engineering.
Taking initiative in gathering critical input from third parties such as licensors, consultants, and suppliers.
Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous knowledge-sharing across the mechanical discipline
Maintaining compliance with project schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
Contributing to the setup and improvement of internal engineering tools, systems, and workflows.
What we would like from you
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in static equipment design and engineering within the oil & gas and EPC sectors. You will bring a combination of hands-on experience, deep technical knowledge, and a proactive mindset to support complex projects and mentor less experienced colleagues.
You will thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, balancing quality with efficiency and ensuring that mechanical design and documentation deliverables meet the highest standards.
Qualifications:
A University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil&gas, petrochemical, or energy industry, with a strong focus on Mechanical Static Equipment engineering within an EPC environment.
Legal eligibility to work and reside in the EU and the Netherlands is preferred.
Abilities:
Fluent in English, both written and spoken, strong English writing skills for documentation and reports, proficient in English speaking for effective communication with teams and stakeholders.
Solid knowledge of relevant international standards and codes (API, ASME, ASTM, ANSI, ISA, NFPA), as well as Russian and European (EC, EN, EU) standards.
Proficiency with engineering tools including PVElite, Ansys, and MS Office Suite.
Skilled in preparing and managing specifications, mechanical data sheets, technical bid evaluations, and vendor documents.
Strong understanding of project phases (Study, FEED, EPC) and interdisciplinary coordination requirements.
Capable of balancing technical depth with practical execution on fast-paced projects.
Comfortable working in a multicultural, multi-location team environment.
