Your new challenge

As a Senior Civil / Structural Infrastructure Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of civil and structural solutions for complex industrial projects across all phases—from FEED to execution. You’ll work in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment, ensuring high-quality, compliant designs while contributing to project success, innovation, and team development.

Your new challenge will include:

  • Leading and managing civil and structural engineering activities across all project stages, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, quality, and cost objectives.

  • Developing and reviewing engineering deliverables including calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports for civil infrastructure such as roads, grading, drainage systems, and underground utilities.

  • Designing and reviewing steel and concrete structures, including foundations and below-ground elements.

  • Performing and reviewing hydraulic calculations and flow analyses for stormwater, oily water, and potentially contaminated sewer systems.

  • Designing underground structures such as pits, considering load conditions and operational requirements.

  • Developing and coordinating Underground Composite Plans, ensuring integration of piping, electrical, instrumentation, and civil elements.

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure proper integration of civil/structural designs within overall plant layout and plot plans.

  • Supporting procurement activities through preparation of technical specifications, material take-offs, requisitions, and technical bid evaluations.

  • Acting as a technical focal point for civil/structural engineering matters with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

  • Monitoring engineering progress and ensuring deliverables meet project timelines and quality standards.

  • Contributing to proposal preparation, project planning, manhour estimation, and execution strategy development.

  • Participating in design reviews, hazard studies, and constructability assessments.

  • Mentoring junior engineers and supporting the development of engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.

  • Coordinating effectively with multiple offices and external partners in a global project environment.

What we would like from you

We are looking for a highly experienced and technically strong civil/structural professional with a deep understanding of infrastructure design within complex industrial projects. You should be comfortable working across disciplines, coordinating inputs, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions that meet project, regulatory, and client requirements.

You bring a structured and detail-oriented mindset, combined with strong coordination and communication skills. A proactive and solution-driven approach, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a multi-office environment, is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s (HBO) degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Engineering within Oil & Gas, Chemical, or Petrochemical industries.

  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior or lead engineering role.

  • Provedn experience in FEED and EPC projects, including greenfield, brownfield, and revamp developments.

  • Eligibility to work and reside in the EU and the Netherlands is desirable.

Abilities:

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, strong English writing skills for documentation and reports, proficient in English speaking for effective communication with teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong expertise in civil and structural infrastructure design, including grading, drainage, road design, and underground utilities.

  • Good understanding of detailing practices and experience in reviewing drawings for structural steel, concrete, and foundations.

  • Familiarity with international design codes and standards (Eurocodes, British, American); knowledge of Chinese and Russian standards is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in engineering software such as STAAD-Pro and SAP2000; Civil 3D is an advantage.

  • Experience with plant design review tools such as Navisworks, SmartPlant Review (SPR), and AVEVA E3D is a plus.

  • Strong working knowledge of drafting tools such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.

  • Strong coordination skills with the ability to manage interfaces across multiple engineering disciplines.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and general project management tools.

  • Experience working in multi-office and international project environments.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
